I think any all-band week sounds like a bad idea (particularly after the Buckner & Garcia reception). PS3 players have been pretty clear in their desire for a routinely balanced, mixed-genre week from the RBN.

Wow, I was pretty happy that RBN got all the Buckner & Garcia out in one week, and equally surprised that it was an all Buckner & Garcia week. I thought that was a great gesture, though it is kind of sad to hear that it turned out to be a bad idea. But for artistic purposes, those songs had to come out, being the first popular songs written about video games. I'm just glad I didn't have to hunt and peck to get all the tracks over a series of weeks. Thanks for that, at least.

We're still assessing the reaction to the first PS3 RBN 2x bass pedal week, so we don't have any plans at this time for a second such week.

When I saw doubles of songs, one with 2x bass pedal and one without, it was confusing. Which one to buy? Would someone really into that song buy the 2x version or would the 1x version be the one more people would have in online play? I certainly didn't want to be stuck with the less popular version. I don't think I want to buy two versions of a song at once - people who want 2x bass pedal versions, are they buying both the 1x and 2x? Why bother with a 1x version? It made the RBN release feel a little cluttered, but, that kind of feels like a good thing as another niche gets quenched.
