I don't know how Neversoft managed to get 8 Muse songs across 4 Guitar Hero games, but I would assume having Activision's bankroll helped a lot. We can't use Rocksmith as an example here because they don't need the stems to use the songs in that game.

Also, as GNF loves to constantly point out, "Hysteria" was released in May 2008, before Muse became known as "The Twilight Band" (*vomits*) later that year. Add to that a Grammy award for The Resistance, and the cost of licensing goes up significantly.

hmxhenry has said in the past, on the forums and in the podcasts, that HMX tries to find a balance between what the forum community wants as DLC and what the larger community wants as DLC. Now, they know Muse is highly requested here, but with the new Facebook App, Muse has been the steady #1 since HMX launched it. I think Muse songs are the only things that could satisfy both the forums and the larger community.
Uhh.... No and I highly doubt that Activision bankroll is why they got Muse. Also Muse was dope before there was even a Twilight Also I have seen some Grammy Award albums that have songs featured in Rock Band :P We really need to stop putting out reasons why they still more Muse in the music the store because we have Hysteria and that's proof that Harmonix can put out a Muse song, but is also shows that Harmonix can put whatever they wanted when they want it. It just comes down to us for our opinion and our patients.

Good list guys I'd buy all of it. But you forgot to make a Vocalist Pack show some love.
    Please Vote for Muse

If I had to limit myself to six Muse songs I want, it'd be:

    - Unnatural Selection
    - Newborn (Live at Wembley Stadium)
    - Knights of Cyndonia
    - Uprising
    - Butterflies and Hurricanes
    - Starlight

And before you ask, no, I'm actually not that big on Origin of Symmetry. The one song I really like from the album is a lot better live.

So, it is now 2012, so I ask: is 2012 the year we see Muse in Rock Band?

I'd probably say no, but then again I might have said the same about Coldplay at this time last year.
So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, good night.

Muse don't have a song called "Black Holes and Revelations". Don't worry. It's a common mistake made by casual fans.
May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?

    I didn't create a vocals pack, because:

    1. All the songs in the other packs feature prominent vocal and harmony parts (even if the harmonies are Chris singing along with a double tracked Matt)

    2. There are only really 2 "tough" vocal songs in Muse's catalog. "Micro Cuts" (which I put in another pack) and "Exogenesis: Symphony Part I (Overture)" (which I couldn't figure how to fit in anywhere due to the strings for 3 of it's 4 minutes. I guess it could go in the drums pack because of the timpanis in it.)

Thanks for fixing that. I blame that more on being dead tired than being a casual fan, but it does seem like it would be a common mistake.

After going to see Muse 6 times over the past 2 years, I can tell you that what you did isn't the worst mistake I've heard someone say.

To be fair, the lyrics only mention "starlight" twice in one of the verses. The chorus, which has the "our hopes and expectations/ black holes and revelations" line, is repeated 4 times.

Speaking of starlight, I wish they'd play that other song that mentions it live...

I've been pondering on my favourite potential Muse 6-pack for a while now. Since there is no Muse song I dislike, it's been rather difficult (I think I'd need something like a 36-pack for an easier decission), but here it is:

    Thoughts of a Dying Atheist
    Newborn (Live from Wembley)
    Microcuts (Live from Webley)
    Sunburn
    Space Dementia
    Stockholm Syndrom
