That sort of an observation would first require that Grammy voters were paying attention.

There is quite the history of the Grammy Awards being a joke. Just look up Jethro Tull winning a Grammy for Metal or Milli Vanilli winning a Grammy for "best new artist" when they were just pretending to make music.

A friend of mine saw fun. with Panic At The Disco last summer, and she said fun. put on an amazing show that was totally diluted by the amount of thirteen year old scene queens drinking, smoking, and generally being embarassing to be around.

Guess fun. figured they have a, ahem, "expanded" audience now.
