Weird Al - Pick a three pack

I have noticed a lot of posts naming WIWYA as the #2 pick, behind a pretty even spread of CNR and NTtH. I haven't noticed many saying one of the latter 2 at #1 and the other at #2. WIWYA seems to be a victim of this being a "pick just one" poll.

It's probably my #2 pick as well.

Fair point. After listening to all the songs again...I'm inclined to agree that WIWYA would be in my top two choices (after Nature Trail to Hell). While I don't think WIWYA is one of Al's overall best efforts, the "style" portion of the song is pretty much Henley "Building The Perfect Beast" spot-on. And since that's a style that we don't have represented in the game yet, I'd vote for that. We already have lots of NIN and White Stripes, so those style parodies aren't a "must" at this point in the cycle.

I agree, I put my vote on CNR but really do we need another White Stripes sound-a-like song?

The truth is, we painted the names of all the songs we thought we could get onto individual rabbits and yelled "Pull".

I'm led to believe HMX takes a similar approach, using a fox, and some chickens.

how much more? the three pack. we're weary about doing three packs as is. like Noble said, Dare to Be Stupid is almost guaranteed to be in the first kickstarter pack, but whether the pack will feature two other artists or two more from WA is undetermined still.

I doubt we would shoot for more WA after this set, there's just so much awesome out there that needs its chance to be in RB

Well as much as the labels/fans will 'let' us get. As long as they like the numbers the songs do, and as long as they make sense (meaning we're not just throwing kickstarter money away on songs that aren't getting downloaded) we'll bring as many Al tracks as we're able.

I'm not saying we're always going to get three packs, but I hope to get a new Al track in here every few months after the initial 3 pack (if we can convince the label to get us more than just DTBS).

"The Night Santa Went Crazy" would be fun around the holidays, although I get that it sort of has limited appeal and may not be available due to reasons already stated.

I've had "Everything You Know is Wrong" stuck in my head for days now, ever since I first saw this thread! Too bad that particular album seems off limits for now.

Of the choices listed, all seem about equal to me, and I will buy whatever Weird Al comes along, because it's too much fun not to!

Also, this thread has been an interesting window into how licensing works. Yikes!
