I thought the drums were better than the guitar.
Bass isn't too bad either.. but yes vocals suck :P

Germs than CNR. Not really the other two. King of Suede, Yoda, Craigslist, I Think I'm a Clone Now are some of the his other songs that I think would be cool on rock band.
People like Weird Al, Parry Gripp and Paul & Storm make music fun and funny. Bring on Classic Rock!!

The "straight up parodies" are not available for use in this project, it appears.

I doubt we would shoot for more WA after this set, there's just so much awesome out there that needs its chance to be in RB
I agree. I'm sure even you guys can't really anticipate exactly how the first Kickstarter will go. Once it's out there, I'm sure everybody can start to adjust their projections/expectations accordingly

I'm probably the only one who's sort of glad.

I'm with this. Some, if not nearly all, of my favorite Weird Al songs are his originals.

However this turns out, it'd be difficult to prove them right or wrong. HMX has to consider licensing fees and labor costs. With this Kickstarter idea, they don't have to worry about either of those. So if Weird Al on the RBN sells quite a bit, we still have no way of knowing if it would have offset the licensing and labor costs on their end had it been official DLC.

Anyway, assuming everything goes according to plan, this RBN approach is going to work out a lot better for HMX in the end. They pay no licensing or labor on their end and get to share 70% of all the music's revenue with Microsoft.

My 2 songs from the list are:

    Nature Trail to Hell
    When I Was Your Age

If parodies are allowed in the future Amish Paradise would be my top choice.
