So it turns out that I will be attending UC Davis next year, unless I get off the waitlist for UCLA. Anyone happen to go there or have any experience there?

To keep it music related: I am surprisingly impressed by Gotye, his big hit is one of the few songs on the radio I actually like and I have replayed it a bunch of times, which I don't usually do with radio fodder.

I'm not a fan of Gotye, but there's no question he's the best thing on the high billboard charts right now. I still try to keep up with billboard music, so no one can say I rip on it without having heard it first

On that same note, I absolutely hate "We Are Young" by Fun.. Is this really what passes for alternative rock to the masses these days?

That album of his is fairly good music. Nothing groundbreaking, but enjoyable.

The comment goes that, due to the nature of China, you could say pretty much any generalization about the Chinese people and it would likely be true in some area or the other.

A person doesn't even have to be terminally ill to be issued a medical card. I think sleep problems are the most common ways people get marijuana medical cards, and some doctors are just easy going about issuing them out because it really doesn't pose any health problems. Where I live it's basically legal anyway. It's the lowest priority for cops; jay walking or dogs that aren't on a leash are higher priorities for them.

I applied, but I didn't get in. But I think I will be attending UC Santa Cruz next year, so I'll still be part of the UC system at least.

It helps me with my insomnia, after an hour or so of physical restlessness, I can go to sleep no problem because it relaxes my mind.
