To be clear: I love Dance for the Dying. I have their EP and I've listened to it repeatedly. "El Monstro" is probably my favorite song on it and it gets stuck in my head all the time.
But there hasn't been a holdup. The Dance for the Dying songs, like all other songs, are competing with literally hundreds of other songs for those 5 slots each week. Whenever we bring one song to PS3, over a hundred others are left behind.
Now, I don't know what typical sales figures are, but I can't imagine this one would sell more than about 10 to 20 downloads. We're talking about keys players, interested in the RBN, who want a psychotically difficult chart, with no other instruments in it. Each part of that sentence narrows the potential customer base significantly. And unlike the Thomas Walker classics songs, it's not a well-known song, losing that possible appeal.
Bear in mind, I'm not the one making the decisionbut if I were, I'm not sure I'd bring that one over.
Now that Metal, Trolls and Vomit is coming, a new top 5 most wanted songs:
Amberian Dawn - War in Heaven
Pythia - Just a Lie
Eden's Curse - No Holy Man
An Endless Sporadic - Impulse
Mile Marker Zero - Reaping Tide
Runner-up: Weebl's Stuff - Amazing Horse
Top 3 most wanted multi-song artists that the PS3 doesn't (or barely) have yet:
Ghost Brigade
Christina Marie Magenta
Devin Townsend
Nevermore - The Obsidian Conspiracy
I'd LOVE to buy this song, unfortunately the one Nevermore song already released on PSN is my least favorite song by them on their latest album, but the only other one that's out on Xbox (Obsidian Conspiracy) is my favorite! Want SO badly!
Also, thanks for putting out an All Shall Perish song 2 rounds ago. Purchased it immediately and will do so for any more tracks you guys eventually port over.
So is ATalkingFish, and it took a damn long time to get "Cheesy Pop Song" to come over. It also has all instruments, and I would imagine it sold like crap.
But why is it insulting to him? Do you think people would buy it simply because he is a forum member? If so, then, all right, that's a factor I didn't consider. But...would they really? I didn't buy "Cheesy Pop Song" because ATF is a forum member (frankly I don't even like him), I bought it because the song made me laugh.
Most (if not all) songs do sell better on Xbox. RBN especially so, for obvious reasons.

Yes, that makes sense. Though Insomniac's first multi-platform game is going to be released relatively soon (Overstrike). And after pulling up a video of the song, I think it's now on my to-do list![]()
I'd love to get Impulse as soon as possible. That song is fantastic.
