$30 as DLC seems a bit much if they're going to include it with discs from now on. It's punitive to the people who've supported them to this point. $10 seems more appropriate. (Not that I have any use for it).

Agreed. Hell, if Shivering Isles is $30, I absolutely believe this is worth $30, considering this very well may be able to teach you a whole new instrument (contrary to popular opinion, bass is different than guitar). You certainly don't get the same lasting appeal in Shivering Isles.
$10 would be highway robbery.

Personally, I see that it's reasonable but I still don't like it. Oh well. Better that than increase the price of DLC.
If they add achievements, then that'll make the transition a bit less severe
Doesn't matter to me as I don't own the game yet.

i was expecting more like $20. $30 seems a bit much, but i'll still buy it.
People who buy the game new get that double content for the same price that we paid and we're being asked to increase our investment by 38% over what they're paying (based on the $80 disc+cable that I paid, 60% over the current commonly available $50 price), penalizing us for investing in the unfinished product.
