I have to say that Plug in Baby has become one of my favorite songs to play in Rocksmith.

I think it's time for this thread to close up shop.
There's no point keeping it open. We're never going to get any more Muse songs. "Hysteria" is all we're ever going to get.
It's been a good run, but the show can't go on anymore.
May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?
Wishlist (possible artists):

[3] Sum 41
[11] Linkin Park
[51] Green Day
[9] The Offspring
The sad thing is, those trolls are more or less right.
Aaron did say that HMX would love Muse in Rock Band and that if they could make it happen they would. To me, that means that the hope of getting any other songs is pretty much crushed and dead.
It just sucks because I've supported this game with passion and money in the hopes HMX would get more Muse songs. On one level, I'm sad because it's all been in vain. On another level, I'm angry because my money has gone to HMX so that they could license other bands and neglect the one I was requesting more of by making my purchase. It's really frustrating because you would think that when you buy a piece of DLC, HMX would see that sale and think:
A) We need to get more of that band
or
B) We need to get more bands that sound like that band
or
C) We need to get more from that band and bands that sound like that band

The problem with this theory is HMX wouldn't truthfully mention whether any Muse DLC is coming or not. Remember how they said they would never reveal the 2 songs which didn't make it on the Incubus week and whether the 6 "leaked" songs are correct or not because it would cause problems. Maybe Muse wants some mega announcement so if there was hinting at Muse DLC people would go search for leaks and use URL hacks to try and find out earlier hence disrupting the mega announcement and put HMX in bad terms.

That's the problem though, Sarge.
Guitar Hero can get a total of 8 unique songs on their series.
Rocksmith (a game with no proven track record) is able to have 2 Muse songs on it's disc.
Rock Band has a total of one song that was released four years ago.
What the hell is HMX doing wrong in trying to get more Muse songs for the platform? Their main rival had no issues doing it time and again, while the new kid on the block can do it the first time out. Yes, I know that Rocksmith doesn't need masters to have songs in the game, but the point still stands that they were able to license those songs.

I think what helped Rocksmith, even though it was the new kid on the block, was that it was a game designed to teach guitar and be used with real instruments. Guitar Center got behind it, various musicians got behind the game, and I think it has a "legitimate" teaching factor that games like GH and RB have never been able to really claim (even with RB3's Pro-Mode).
That's my personal reason why the new kid on the block is nailing down some great artists, that neither of the other major music games have gotten!
