    They were probably pushing the limit as to how long their descriptions can be, and didn't think to abbreviate the band name as "CCR".

    That's probably exactly what it was. They also probably didn't want to risk confusing people who aren't overly familiar with the band by using the acronym. The way they did it, inelegant as it may be, at least ensures that someone searching by either the Artist or Song Title will have the ability to do it without having to know what the first "C" in "CCR" stands for.
