I'm surprised more people aren't excited about this. I really thought people liked this band. As for me, they aren't one of my favorites but I do really like all of these songs so I'm pretty excited. Once again, great job HMX.

It was one of the first bands that came to my mind when the hint dropped. Personally, I wanted the newer single. The guitar plays nicely in it.

A community "Let's all play prog songs" goal.

A "Play long songs" goal where half the songs are categorized as prog.

And a drummer goal including a Dream Theater song that no non-prog fan would have in their DLC library.


IE, someone designing the goals has included prog fans in the goal decisionmaking (in triplicate this week). Yet the people doing song licensing haven't considered prog fans for a long time.

We've had Yes and Rush this year - where are you getting that no Prog has been released in 2012? And it hasn't been that long since the Rush pack was released.

The last Prog release was 2112, on New Year's Eve 2011. It came out in 2012 for PS3, but just barely. Not sure how you thought the Yes pack came out this year, that one came out in July 2011.

And it hasn't been that long since the Rush pack was released.

Ten months (and counting) waiting for a specific artist isn't so very long a time, but it is for an entire genre. Rsm is right, there has been no prog in official HMX DLC in 2012 (thankfully there's been a fair bit in RBN).

I'll check out the keys but I'm guessing they aren't all that interesting. With no interesting keys I have no reason to not spend my MSP on sale songs instead.

There were only about 40 bands to guess once the hint was dropped, that pretty much ensured that someone would guess it (even if people were only guessing one band a piece).

I'm going to call that prediction that the boards would blow up today a "miss". There appears to be much less hating than there has been for many weeks this year. Though rather muted hoorahs too, maybe just because we didn't get their biggest 3 songs, "merely" 3 out of their top 10?

The last (and only) Yes DLC was July 26, 2011.
The last Rush DLC was Dec 31, 2011 on Xbox 360 (slightly delayed on other platforms).
