I'd give it one more look though, cause Tool's not on it and I'm not sure why you mentioned that.

I thought about doing like a 25-pack of songs that could be released to celebrate Blitz's year-anniversary or something in the future, so maybe I'll make that little setlist sometime soon. Glad to see people actually look at the links in signatures.
I don't recognize every song on your list (and yes, metal is my weakest category), but I know (and love!) a much higher percentage of the tracks (or at least the artists) than I usually do with the full multi-artist Rock Band releases. And some of them are tracks that it seems safe to assume that Harmonix has also had on their wish list for many years, but just can't get, for various reasons. Those big songs that are so obviously on everyone's wish list [i.e., Springsteen], should they be deleted just because not having them yet implies we just can't have them? Perhaps not.

But you're right, there's no Tool on your list, I must have seen them in this thread and gotten confused.

And yes, I noticed that the list was made a while ago, when RB4 was not merely a dream but a very realistic expectation, it's fun to remember those bygone days ...

[Hey, I'm no longer "Worry Wortington", how about that]

I'm sure it's a long shot, but what the hell.

Al De Meola - "Teme De Maria"
    Wynton Marsalis - "Autumn Leaves"
Stevie Ray Vaughan - "Cold Shot" (X)

I have some other bands on my blog, but I thought I'd put out the most unlikely one here on the forums.

So did a HMX person actually confirm the new artists hint? Because

using that to predict all order of amazing new artists, getting everybody's hopes up, when it could just as easily be 40 Green Day songs that anyone who would want them already has them...well I'm sure we can see how that would end up.

Yeah, if the actual quote was "in the weeks ahead" and not "in the next 2 weeks", it would seem mostly likely that your Green Day pack (+ maybe one new single) scenario is the most likely outcome this week.

It's pretty obvious 3 upcoming weeks are going to be a Completing 21st Century Breakdown Pack, American Idiot Full Album, and Dookie Full Album. I just wish we would get something else on those weeks to go along with these tracks most players have had for 2 years.

Anyways, if this whole 4 new artists in 2 weeks thing is true, it's pretty obvious we're getting some singles at least one week. Probably next week, since we haven't seen more than 2 packs in a row since May. If I had to pick 3 random singles:

-Reel Big Fish - Sell Out
    -Sponge - Molly (16 Candles)
    -Mumford & Sons - I Will Wait
    775 Tracks: RB + RB2 + LRB + AC/DC + GDRB + Blitz + 22 RBN + 423 DLC

The rest of GD:RB is all coming at once. It won't be a 40-pack (or whatever the exact number is), but it's all coming at once. It would make sense for the albums to be their own packs, leaving "Geek Stink Breath" and the two remaining Nimrod songs as a 3-pack.
