Since the site suggestion thread went poof, I'm putting it here: Get rid of the silly sugar skull as a default avatar. It's half as bad as the Pentatonic font. (That's still really really bad.)

I know a few things I complain about can be spun into "positives" (which I can shoot down):

    - "They're giving avatars to the avatar-less!" (A really crappy one - I'd rather have nothing, but I'd get slapped with the sugar skull. Beggars can be choosers.)
    - "You can brag about being in the top 2%!" (I'd rather know that I'm 35th place out of 2,000 - spare me the sugar coating and cough up my rank)
    - "Our mistake notification is now harder to miss!" (And much more obnoxious. Was the old one that hard to miss?)
    - "I MAED A F0NT W1TH L3TT3RS 1N IT!!!1" (If it's that good, why don't you make it the official Harmonix font rather than limit it to Rock Band? Actually, I'm going to re-do the Harmonix logo in Pentatonic - it'll look way worse, more generic, more store-brand, and more "Power Gig", trust me)

...Hang on, the A and the M are slanted in the version of Pentatonic I have (the one publicly available because it's linked to in the CSS). The slanted letters are the only thing saving the suck-ified logo.

I hate this too, but there's a simple solution.

    1) use an ad blocking program on your browser
    2) block that image
    3) profit!

#2, check out dlcquickplay.com. It has that functionality, as well as exporting to a karaoke style kook.
Thanks! I'll give DLCQ a look.

...Yeah, I was hoping the solution would be on their end. I'm tired of having to work around boo-boos.

Also, I have to do this for every computer I use.

Something I'm sure vanished with the site suggestion thread: The generic "Rock" and twice-as-generic "Other" should be ineligible for the title of "Most Played Genre". Pretty much everyone* and their dog's doo-doo has Rock as their most played genre (and a combination of RB1 mislabels, mislabeled NIN, Green Day, or The White Stripes "Elephant" album cover as the representative songs).

*By that definition, I'm nobody. Ignore me as you always have. And for the record, I don't have a dog.

    HIM/H.I.M seperate

This is a really minor thing that's going to drive me absolutely insane, but the band HIM is listed as H.I.M. in Rock Band 3, but listed as HIM in the DLC. Is there any way to patch it to correct this (one way or the other), so that the band will be grouped together properly rather than separated?

Thanks so much for all your guys' hard work.

Possible? Probably. Likely? not really, given it's been a known issue for 2 years and 4 patches.

    OK, new request.
Please, PLEASE, beef up the Hard charts, even if it's just a bit.

Lately, playing on Hard's been feeling like MEDIUM. Some songs are so stupidly easy on Hard now (and I'm not talking about Warmup and Apprentice levels). If the game gave gold stars on Hard, I'd have it completely 5G'd by now.

Now I don't want you guys to make an overchart-fest like NeverEverEversoft used to do - just make charts that remind us why Hard is called that.
    Dear HMX,

Please make the dream of thousands of players come true and release a Celebration Day Track Pack.

    It's not like that.
I just think there's been some sort of expanding rift between difficulty levels. There used to be a logical progression:

    * Easy: Three frets, about 50% of the notes.
    * Medium: Four frets, about 70% of the notes.
    * Hard: Five frets, about 90% of the notes.
    * Expert: Five frets, 100% of the notes.

I'm not good at this thing with proportions, but at least that's how I always saw it.
You climbed the difficulty ladder as you honed your skills.
But now, Hard's so easy that any unexperienced player that tries to move up to Expert from it will wind up massacred.

Oh, and by the way, I play Expert.
I'm just pointing out something I noticed.

You already play on expert so of course hard is going to feel easy.
