I'm giving a suggesting, and the coin system is a valid complaint with the game. HMX isn't the perfect game developer. No one is. I'm suggesting that they tweak the restarts because that's where the coin imbalance lies. Restarts takes way too much a loss and hurt the game. They loss you get from restarting add up very fast.

So this is how it should happen.

Restarts are Free or no more than 50 coins except, when you restart you must use the exact same powerups. If you change powerups you have to pay for that powerup again. If you go to Quit Song, or go to a different song you have to pay again. Or at least make restarts with the same loadout something like 50 coins.

Or another suggestion is to make Restarts cost 1/2 of the coins it normally costs on a song, and make it so you get more than 50 coins for GSing a song. 150-200+ profit for GSing a song is alot more reasonable. You barely get any coins if you are not sightreading as it is right now. Sorry but not everyone has an endless supply of unplayed DLC songs to sightread and get 2x coin bonus. People are taking the 2x bonus for granted because you won't be getting many additional coins once you play all your songs at least once.

The people who never restart or have a truckload of coins won't be affected by this at all, however for the rest of us who don't have many songs to SR, and can't do song specific goals because not having the said DLC song or want to use facebook can restart songs without being completely bankrupt all the time.

those are a few known problems, when the sale started, everything that was released was changed to $0,99. this includes the free songs available.

i dont know if it just shows up with a price in the store or that it actually cost that price (will get to this in a sec). but you should be able to get them for free anyway once the sale ends.

as for the wrong price on the offspring song. there are a few songs that say they cost $2 while they should be one. i can understand if you dont want to risk this. and it would be better to wait for someone else to confirm this (on the particular song would be best) but if i remember correctly then it should only take $1 from your account even though it says $2. again, not saying i'm 100% sure about that.
this might also be the case for the free songs, but again. wait till other people verify this as well

as for the freezing. it only appears frozen.
for some reason it doesn't show how much progress it's making when loading new songs after you leave the store, like it does when you start up the game. just leaving it like that for 10 minutes should fix it.

Thanks for the fast reply. I tried to go to the store and download "the free" songs anyway, but the store forces me to add funds to the store first. Which kind of give a hint that it will cost money to download them. I don't want to pay for anything that technically should be free.

I don't know if I will be charged less from songs that are marked as on sale, but want to charge me full price (as Offspring - Self Esteem), but I don't want to try, just to find out I am. It's not too big a deal if I get overcharged, but I just don't feel it's right that a fault from the producers will make the consumers pay more.

But if someone can confirm that you won't get charged more, even if the store "says" so, perhaps I try it out on one of those songs anyway.

In regards to the freezing, it doesn't happen when I exit the store. When I go out from the store, the game updates the newest songs without any trouble. But if I go to one of the new songs, choose power-ups, pay for those power-ups, and get to the next screen (the screen with the tip, or the joke), then it freezes when trying to load that song. This is a little bit annoying. I hate it when the ps3 freezes over due to a technical bug in-game (Skyrim was bad in that regard). But this is even more annoying, since I also have payed coins for the power-ups, which I loose, when this happens.

Though, these faults aren't that big of an issue for me. They are annoying, but I still love this little game. As I mentioned in my last post, I really hope Harmonix will make an add-on for this game. There are alot of possibilities for this game to evolve. Both in singleplayer mode, and in multiplayer mode. Espescially in some kind of multiplayer mode.

yeah, i dont really know on ps3. on xbox there were a few songs marked as too much as well, and you did only pay the discount price on that.

the only thing was, that you had to have the $2 on your account even though it only took $1

but i wouldnt risk it myself either

Great question. Especially since I was having that unresponsiveness issue after buying a song, and learned here that it's (probably) reloading the whole library and/or "Blitzifying" the track, it just doesn't tell you. That's why this is my first post, not my 2nd or 3rd.

Because many threads that really should be stickied are not, clearly as to not draw attention to negative aspects of the game(s). Of course Bront20 doesn't think that any thread that doesn't affect him is worthy of getting a sticky. Just like the freezing issue thread for >1000 songs that was at best fixed with a 'field grade bandage', just like the XMB issue that was given up on, just like the RCS connection issues that plague not only RB3 but have an impact on Blitz as well.

One doesn't have to think very hard as to why there are no threads stickied on these subjects, it is crystal clear.

oh and Diamaniacal. if having a bug report thread isn't getting stickied for those reasons, then why do we have the exact same kind of thread stickied in the normal rock band section?
