Well I think it can be used with a negative connotation, but it still points a specific concept that cannot be refered to by one word otherwise. I think it's more a matter of reflecting and discussing the meaning of the word. I don't think it should be pointed towards individuals, but rather groups and archetypal identities. I can say James Bond, as an archetypal character, is a cis male and I can say the cis male is the dominating model for masculinity in society, but I should avoid labeling an individual with this word.
In other words, I don't believe censorship of words is a good way to avoid agressivity and insults.

I still can't see 007 unless I buy my ticket a day in advance (which I'm not nearly organized enough to do).

It's a very rich film, one that I would have liked to discuss. One of the roughest experimental films I've seen since T.O.U.C.H.I.N.G. Surprisingly, I was engaged throughout the experience (except when I was taking care of my Hatchi), although I approached it very cerebrally, which I'm not sure Brakhage really intended it to be.

It's an amazing movie and I don't know what else to say except I missed a big chunk because I fell asleep.

It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.

Anybody here seen V/H/S? I'm intrigued by the concept. IMDb of course gives me nothing to go on. According to the board there, it's either the best movie ever or total and complete shlock.

While I personally don't have a problem with the word, I know a lot of LGBT folk that do. It's not un-controversial, even within the community.

    The Apparition - 0.5/10

And a new contender for worst movie this year has emerged...

There's nothing even remotely appealing about this movie whatsoever, like they didn't even try. I would like to come across at least one really good new horror movie this year. The Cabin In The Woods has been the only horror movie worth a damn this entire year and no matter how good that was, it doesn't hold the fort with the rest of these atrocities that just get spewed out by the dozen. Don't even sneeze at this dreadful display of cinema. It plays and works correctly so I had to at least give it a 0.5/10 rating for SOME type of effort here.

People that have seen the original and the remake do not like the remake so if you are going to see it se the remake first.

Most people who have seen "originals" and naively try to compare and contrast rather than take something as a new addition are crap and in influx.

I've seen the original I like both.
