i saw it a while ago. it is pretty bad in general. as far as the found footage genre goes, it is better than most. parts of it are very effective and well made and then parts of it you'll just want it to end.

i'm not really sure if i liked it or hated it. i'm sure that was not helpful at all :P

    The Amazing Spider-Man - 8.5/10
Definitely more entertaining than the original three.

The Next Three Days - 8.5/10
Pretty darn good movie. Kinda drags a bit, but the action and story was pretty good.

    Groundhog Day - 9/10
I shouldn't have to say anything about this movie.

Totally fair, and in a perfect world it wouldn't have to be censored anywhere. Unfortunately, this is the internet, and more often than not the word is used as a pejorative rather than in the academic sense. It's the same reason why we can't have serious discussions about roosters, bundles of sticks or British slang for cigarettes here on the forums. If I thought the community at large could use these words without abusing them I'd be happy to lift the filter, but they were put in place in response to the expected internet numbskullery.

I'll see if I can poke around and see how often certain words have been filtered in the last year and maybe reassess what is and isn't filtered. Just wanted to let you know that it's not filtered as any kind of slight or out of a desire to avoid intelligent discussion.

Guilty confession: I know one of the directors and still haven't seen it yet. OOPS.

I was also intrigued by the idea of an anthology style horror movie, but it had such a limited run I wasn't able to check it out when the indie film festival hit town. FWIW, Pope loved it and gave me the hardest time for missing it. It's definitely on my list of stuff to see.

Heh, well....not much I guess I probably will end up just breaking down and seeing it. It's on Netflix.

First of all, did you get my PM?

Second of all, is it possible to set the censor to filter things when used as lone words and not just combinations of four letters? I think we can all agree that on a T-for-Teen forum, that slang term for male genitalia is ok to be replaced by asterisks. But:

    Alfred Hitch****
    ****tail
    Bruce ****burn
    ****amamie
    Poppy****

    That's just ridiculous.

Well if it's got Pope's endorsement...

I would like to request that you add the word "discombobulate". I know it's not dirty, but it sounds that way.

Edit: And I need poppy****. I like to express myself through 17th century tomfoolery.

Do picture names trip the censor?

Edit: Yes they do. I'll just have to go with the lesser snack, Crackerjack.

I never want that word uncensored. I want to go down in forum history as the person that led to that word being banned. I WILL BE REMEMBERED FOREVER!

This brings me to a new goal in life. Have Witticus banned as a forum word.

Don't I get A LITTLE credit for it, too?
