Hey just went back looking through some old posts and I see that a bunch of other older songs from that era have been licensed. Any word on what the other songs are yet, other than Blue Suede Shoes? I still can't believe that we managed to get the original Jerry Lee Lewis song on RBN!

From what I've read, Great Balls of Fire seems to be a way to test the waters. See how everyone reacts to a piece of DLC without properly separated steams. Personally I think it's great though I have seen some chicken little's amongst the RBN community.

It's not like HMX never had DLC without properly separated steams before.

Exactly, you really can't expect much from such an old song with not much to work with though.
    Wishlist:
    The Cure [1]
    Queen [28?]
    AFI [7]
    My Chem. [3]

Well, I really hope that this is a success for them. I just played it in Blitz and it sounded pretty great. In fact I wouldn't even have realized that it wasn't properly separated if you/they hadn't told me. I'll try it out in RB3 later tonight.

It's most obvious in RB3 on bass.

Yeah, now that it seems like HMX is winding down the official DLC support soon...it hopefully will open the doors for more big name content on RBN. At least, that is what I will be telling myself while I cry myself to sleep tonight....

That would be nice, but Guitar Hero's demise made it much harder to get bands and labels interested in RBN; apparently even labels that were already on board stopped answering emails. But that could be an apples and oranges comparison, and maybe Harmonix are pushing RBN more when working with labels. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
