DLC prediction thread for 11/30 announcement of 12/4 DLC

This is the lamest guess ever...but for some silly reason, reading henry's hints about needing help...and the train going off the tracks...this popped into my head.

"50 ways to say goodbye" by Train.

( oh and while I'm totally making stupid predictions...i'll add one more. based on the hint about the Christmas tree dancing around the room )

Well, this was by far Henry's most ambitious clue yet and I applaud him for coming up with something so devious. It took quite a while for me to decipher the whole thing. That said, I've finally figured it out

A lot of the third paragraph was muddled, but the one thing that really jumped out at me was the phrase 'Stone Cold'. There is one thing that immediately comes to mind when seeing this - the Stone stood for Stone Free by Jimi Hendrix and the Cold stood for Cold by Crossfade. Now the clue for Jimi is that he recorded the song at De Lane Lea Studios. This is a place many other famous bands recorded at, including The Who, Pink Floyd, and most importantly for this clue, Deep Purple. Deep Purple, as I'm sure you are aware, had a song called Smoke on the Water, which was on RB3's disc. So the clue from 'Stone' was that the band coming is from the RB3 setlist

The other clue is far less complicated. Cold (the song from Crossfade) came out in 2004, the same time an album from Tegan and Sara was released. This album had the single Walking with a Ghost on it, which has the same amount of letters as the previous Smoke on the Water hint. So we've got our first song

From there, it was easy to deduce the other two songs. In the second paragraph, the man on a rocket was an unbelievably obvious reference to Dr. Strangelove, the movie that has the famous man riding a rocket in a cowboy hat. This in turn references Dr. Love, the KISS song, leaving Strange as the key word. This leads to the song Strange Times by The Black Keys, a song released in 2008. In the fourth paragraph of Henry's post, he mentions everything's 'so black'. While this could be a reference to simply the name of the band, it is also a reference to their 2009 album Blakroc. You know what song came out in 2009 from Tegan and Sara? That's right, Hell

Finally, there's both a reference to Waking the Demon as well as Lamb of God in his post. Both the song and the band listed here were on the Metal Track Pack, along with a band called Lacuna Coil. They too have been on a Rock Band disc which further cements the Tegan and Sara pack clue, and to top it off, the song in the metal pack by Lacuna Coil was Closer. So it's obvious that the third song in the pack is Closer

Phew. Great job with the clues today, Henry. That was really tough to decipher, but once again, you're not match for my wit

Anything else perceived as a clue in his post is nothing more than an obvious red herring

I'd say this is the best guess so far. The post does fit the "The Arrival/A Visit to the Doktor/Raven" structure pretty well. That plus "lie down with lambs" makes a strong case for a Genesis reference. But it does seem a bit too... obvious, given the nature of his last hint. Oh well, it's not like I can do any better.

Henry, your continued references to not just Genesis, but Gabriel-era Genesis, is either joyous or cruel.

I believe Genesis is the only artist hinted in both of your past clue-soup posts.
