Don't get me wrong. I'd love for our songs to be available on the Wii. Every little bit helps keep our labels and artists happy and that keeps them providing us with new songs for the game.

However with the overwhelming evidence that RBN songs sold extremely poor on the Wii almost two years ago when the franchise still had a decent amount of presence and fans on all three consoles, logically there is no way to assume that there would be more players now at this point than there were when HMX had to shut off the Wii RBN.

For what? You being wrong? Wii owners have claimed for five years now that HMX 'hates' in the face of all that HMX has tried to do. And when HMX says that sales of RBN on the Wii doesn't justify continued effort, people accuse them further of lying about their motives.

You bought a Wii. You're trying to play a game that historically has done poorly on the Wii. That's on you.

We're not trying to silence you or anybody else. But we're trying to educate you on the differences between what you want HMX to do and what it is HMX is willing to do.

The reality is that the Wii is a generally unsuccessful platform for Rock Band. HMX didn't wish that to happen and neither did any of the rest of us who are trying to be reasonable about a situation out of our control.

So if back when the RBN was going strong and songs were selling 5-10 thousand copies on the 360, and the wii wasn't cracking 1000 on those same songs....what do you think they'd sell like now that the average sales on a 360 song is around 500?

So I can say with the utmost confidence that if the Wii wasn't doing enough RBN business back in they heyday of Rock Band Network to justify porting songs, there is absolutely no way in blue hell that there is enough people buying songs on the Wii now that the franchise is in its twilight years.

    Just not gonna happen.
Thanks for your insiders view on this & your opinion. But its not just RBN thats the issue here. Most of the wiis issues can be said to have come the wiis limitations thats why I have moved on from those issues and would like HMX to realize that a Lego:RB export that has nothing to do with any limits on the wii and a game thats really old would be profitable for them to do today or any day in the future classic songs are timeless. It seems that people who have no interest in the wii/wiiu and have a mob mentallity still continue to post. Polite or not the result is not helpful.

Then you should probably stop posting in the RBN section of the forums.

If Harmonix thought they would be able to make a profit on the stuff you are asking for it would be on the Wii. They arent not giving you content because they hate you, they are doing it because its not profitable. You can come up with whatever "proof" you want but it just will not make them enough money to make it worth the time to do.

You do realize they can't just up and release an export for Lego: Rock Band and that they'd have to relicense the entire disk and add an export method for the Wii? It wouldn't be easy, it wouldn't be cheap and given the small user base on the wii it probably wouldn't come close to breaking even.

    Precisely.

Pii Three, we get that it sucks for you. It sucks that it sucks. No one wants anyone to have a lesser RB experience. There is no "nyah nyah 'my' console is better than 'yours' !!!!11!" going on here. It's simply the reality of the situation.

Of course you don't. You keep demonstrating that you don't believe anything you don't want to believe, no matter how much logic there is in favor of it and how little logic there is in opposition to it.

Thanks to everyone responding to this issue here, I hope not just HMXLachesis reads this thread but the other devs aswell. This is what happens when wii owners have issues and post on this forum. Those from the community that are usually helpful and informative are just that you know who they are. Then there are the "helpful" trolls. They have NO INTEREST in the wii and could careless about a positive resolution for us. Are rude and insulting, even when they would change their tune to politeness, insults are insults. Finally a dev would like to understand what wii owners are referring to when it comes to not being treated fairly.
I am saying the only thing at the moment would be a WIN/WIN for wii/wiiu owners & Harmonix WHICH is a good thing for us both is an export from LegoRB to RB3/4 if wii owners were told that it is possible they would buy. RBN=no profit/free DLC (i would have bought them at regular price if given that option)=no profit/RBblitz DLC (which has my favorite songs!)=NO PROFIT
I say this because HMXLachesis said that RB3 will only be compatable for the WiiU. That means NO PATCH like the 360/ps3 Even though the WiiU would be able to be patched unlike the wii. I can live with that and wait for RB4.
