I assume it would be public domain and/or Jerry being a part of the bands that had the originals, but not entirely sure.

With Jerry Naylor, I'm pretty sure it's because the covers were completely licensed, and the companies involved gave him full distribution rights of the covers.

I think Jerry also had to still get a special exemption from HMX. We've had at least 1 other song that was originally released by a different artist, but in that case, "Under a Raging Moon", John Parr was the original author, so it wasn't exactly a cover.

You're correct for "Under a Raging Moon". John wrote it for Roger Daltry and recorded his own version last year. Therefore he had all the rights required and we could release it.

"Tastes Like Kevin Bacon" covered by Gigakoops

An instrumental, audio-only edition that proves high-energy chiptunes are the exact same thing as avant-garde metal. Totally the same.

I've also added annotations to the first two videos, to let you skip right to the music.

You know, it's stuff like this that makes me wish my band had some recording to put on the RBN. I'd totally participate in this.

Yea, I kept waiting to hear how he'd handle that and then the song ended.

I think this one would've sounded really interesting with vocals. But I like it as an instrumental cover.
