Rockbandscores just got fixed yesterday, give it a day or two to start pulling data correctly. I don't think every instrument on every platform has processed yet.

I wonder if the "Closer"/"The Weight" switcharoo problem will affect the ranks much.
AsianSteev: if you can read this, put more Ska songs on the RBN! Please?

It was fixed on the first day, and that was two weeks ago. Any negligible effect on sales happened then.

Cold is still showing on rockband scores as the highest seller and having sold more during the week. Not many songs hit 5000 sales these days. I hope HMX see this as a positive thing and perhaps look to get some other early mid 2000's bands into the mix - Such as older Staind or one I have been waiting on for a very long time, Saliva.

So a obscure Pop Metal track outbeat Nine Inch Nails, The Allman Brothers Band (and a GH2 repeat no less) and Dragonforce, as well as a popular commercial song? How is that even possible?

It's a fun song and people who aren't regular RB players like it I guess. How does Call me Maybe almost sell 10,000 - people like it. For me it takes me back to a time when i was much more into discovering new music then I am today so the nostalgia factor helps for me at least.

No no you are getting me wrong here, I think the song is okay myself and by no means think it is bad, but I have never heard about it before, never heard it after and don't remember much about it, yet it outsells very memorable big hits from huge bands like NIN and TABB which I find very surprising.

Call Me Maybe is completely understandable, it's a megahit and the biggest guilty pleasure of the year, no surprise there.

Just because YOU never heard it doesn't mean a ton of other people haven't. In fact, it still plays quite often on the New Orleans rock station, and it reached number 2 and 3 on the alternative and mainstream charts respectively, while also reaching gold status as a single(the album reached platinum status).

For a new band and their first single, that's pretty damn good. Unfortunately for them they have not been able to repeat it's success.

    Edit:
I'm actually more shocked that Closer and Melt with You haven't done better as opposed to how well Cold has done(Jessica, despite being a notoriously hard gh song(though not as famous as TTFaF) and pretty popular ABB song, is still an instrumental). You would think Closer would be close to 1000-1100 on the xbox charts by now, and that Melt with You wouldn't be too far behind that.

Uuuuh that was what I was trying to say. One would have thought Closer would have sold MORE than Cold, not that Cold should have sold poorly or anything. Also it is very regional what songs getting played, even between US states, so there is that.

Closer did sell more than Cold on the US 360 marketplace(as of last tuesday), but not by much.

I guess I see how I mistook what you were saying and I agree Closer didn't live up to my expectations.
