Thanks for some level setting, even if its not quite what some of us wanted to hear. Won't stop me from hitting the site on Friday morning to see whats coming next!

That's all I needed to hear, and I consider that great news. Hooray!
Call me Worry Wortington [no, seriously, call me that, I totally earned that not necessarily flattering title and miss it], but I could have easily pictured arriving at this point in time with pro upgrades (and even all DLC) discontinued. So it's all super-bonus-gravy at this point and I couldn't be more thrilled to have my favorite game ever supporting new releases (AND pro upgrades, most weeks) long after other companies would have punted.

Total Song Library = 1,010 songs, including ALL games and track packs that can be exported into RB3
if my favorite band had as many RB songs as Queen, i'd be thrilled. hell, if my favorite band had ANY songs i'd be thrilled. i certainly wouldn't be complaining if i heard there wasn't any more on the way if they had that many songs already and all their well-known songs were already available.
my favorite band that actually HAS a track in RB is radiohead, and they have a grand total of 2. i'd say, compared to Queen, they are way underrepresented in the game. Queen has, to my count, 28 songs already in the game, not including RB3 versions. there's no way you can say they are underrepresented. if Radiohead had that many songs in RB i certainly wouldn't feel like they were underrepresented. and i wouldn't complain if we didn't get any more RH songs if i had nearly 30 to enjoy playing already.
Number of songs available isn't the most important thing when determining whether a band is underrepresented or not. It's about how the songs are spread out over the band's discography. Take RHCP for example, we have 1 full album (BSSM), 4 songs from Californication, 3 from I'm With You and Stadium Arcadium as well as the song "By the Way". We don't have anything though from before BSSM and from "One Hot Minute". Also By the Way has some very important songs which we don't have such as "Can't Stop" and "The Zephyr Song" so you can argue that RHCP is underrepresented until we get at least 1 more song from By the Way and some material from the albums we have no songs from.
Wishlist (possible artists):

[1] The Cure
[7] AFI
[3] Sum 41
[11] Linkin Park
[51] Green Day

It's all right. Everything will work out fine.
It's all right. We're going to the end of the line!
i understand that, but that's why i also specified having pretty much all of their well-known songs. no band is going to have EVERY big song or single in the game unless they have their own game, and even then, only half the bands that received their own RB game are adequately represented (by which i mean the one that rhymes with spleen tray). there may be 1 or 2 mid-level queen singles that haven't been released, but all the big hits and super-popular songs are already there. it's impossible to say they are not as well-represented or more as any other band in the game.
Queen has big hits that are still not in the game. But even if they didn't, I'd still want more of their music because the scope of their talent goes well beyond the hits. There can never be too much of any great band in the game, and I'm glad Harmonix feels the same way (see the Foo Fighters and Queen songs we got via Blitz a few months ago).
that's fine. if radiohead had 30 songs in the game, i'd still want more too. but it's ridiculous for people to complain or be disappointed about being stuck with only the 28 queen songs we already have. there are unreleased queen songs that i'd buy if they ever got released (innuendo or these are the days of our lives would probably both be buys for me) but it's hard to be sad if they never come.
I can definitely go for another Queen pack, but when we have 28 songs spanning their entire career, it's not surprising that we're not getting any more, especially when "Death on Two Legos" (screw it, I'm leaving the typo in) is already a single on the Wii.
I just played this pack on guitar and harmonies, and it's pretty cool. The guitar part on The B--- is back it's pretty fun, not awesome but cool. The harmonies are fantastic. I don't particularly like The B--- is back but it turned out to be really good, while Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me is really great. Probably as lowlander said, the worst thing is that it does have a lot of empty moments, but the rest is great. I guess it's the closest we'll ever get to Beatles in RB3 in terms of vocal structure and melody.
