Songs they play at my work

How many of these would you buy for the game? Listen to them all at least 500 times before you choose so you're in the same frame of mind I am :\

Gotye ft. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used to Know

Sara Bareilles - King of Anything

Muse - Knights of Cydonia (live)

    Green Day - Troublemaker

    Green Day - Nuclear Family

Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

Taylor Swift - Back to December

New Hollow - She Ain't You

The Script ft. will.i.am - Hall of Fame

    Imagine Dragons - It's Time

We Are the In Crowd - Rumor Mill

Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen - Good Time

    Bush - Baby Come Home

    No Doubt - Settle Down

One Direction - Live While We're Young

Nickelback - When We Stand Together

    Coldplay - Paradise

    Fun. - Some Nights

We also play a few that are already in the game, such as Ruby by Kaiser Chiefs, Call Me Maybe, Matchbox 20 - She's So Mean, and whatever Bruno Mars song it is. Hell if I pay enough attention to know. And there's a couple I left off the list, too -- if anyone would actually pay for Rihanna or....this....thing (seriously don't even click it), it may be best to keep that to yourself.

Also, gauge how big of a rock I'm living under - I had only heard about half of these songs before hearing them at work. Are they all huge hits?

I haven't heard a single one of these, as I don't listen to modern pop radio. I've only heard the studio version of Knights of Cydonia which is pretty good.

They play Muse on your radio station... and they play the Wembly Stadium live tracks?!?

Where do you live? I would rather have that radio station than the one here which thinks Daughtry is "retro."

Don't answer this, for obvious reasons.

It's not radio. We have TV screens on our sales floor. They play these actual videos. Some are slightly edited, like the Fun. and The Script songs that have not-music preceding the music, and I think the Gotye video is edited to show a little less of his naked body. Some of these songs I only knew the title because of labeling at the end of the video. And I'm not sure what the source is. Probably something from corporate.

Yeah I avoid modern music at all costs, but you're aware of that already

I would love for Somebody That I Used to Know and Settle Down to come to RB and would probably buy Some Nights, Knights of Cydonia, and Paradise for certain other people for playing online.

These are the ones I would get. Haven't really heard the others. They're pretty big hits for the most part.. hear most of em on the radio all the time. Imagine Dragons "It's Time" and Fun. "Some Nights" are probably my most wanted out of all of these.

Bruno Mars new song is called "Locked Out of Heaven".. and it's pretty awesome imo. Reminds me of something The Police might have done. I would also buy Rihanna songs, "Disturbia" and "We Found Love" mostly~ don't see nothing wrong with her as a modern pop artist.
Lionel Richie - "Running with the Night"
    Camel - "Lady Fantasy"
Type O Negative, Bad Brains, Madonna

    More:
    Dire Straits, Interpol, The Strokes

The Rihanna song is "Diamonds in the Sky" or something like that.

Yea that's her new one, it's just "Diamonds" though. It's okay I guess. I don't think I'd buy it~ not as good as some of her other songs~

    As for my own votes...

Gotye ft. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used to Know - rainy day list. It's really not that bad a song, and it would work fine with another "Heartbreak Duets" pack, but Christ have I heard it played to death.

Sara Bareilles - King of Anything - easy buy.

Muse - Knights of Cydonia (live) - rainy day list. Again, it's not bad or anything, I just don't see what's so transcendentally beautiful about it.

Green Day - Troublemaker - likely buy.

Green Day - Nuclear Family - likely buy.

Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together - easy buy.

Taylor Swift - Back to December - likely pass. But there's plenty of T-Swift I would buy, and if it were included in a 4-pack or something, I'd still probably get the pack.

New Hollow - She Ain't You - definite buy.

The Script ft. will.i.am - Hall of Fame - likely buy. It's mostly a keys/vox song, and I don't really do either, but I do dig it.

Imagine Dragons - It's Time - likely pass. Heard it too much and I never really enjoyed it in the first place.

We Are the In Crowd - Rumor Mill - rainy day list. It's k, but nothing more.

Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen - Good Time - almost definite pass.

Bush - Baby Come Home - rainy day list.

No Doubt - Settle Down - eventual buy, but I wouldn't be waiting for it day one.

One Direction - Live While We're Young - LOLno.

Nickelback - When We Stand Together - pass. I just feel nothing whatsoever for any Nickelback song. I have 2 - one for an easy as **** Pro Bass part ("How You Remind Me") and the other for.....well, I'm not sure, actually.

Coldplay - Paradise - pass unless it was part of a big pack.

Fun. - Some Nights - definite buy. I was bummed when Fun. didn't get a pack like Elton John and My Chemical Romance.
