wow.... that's a stretch. i think if they got slash and it was for some crappy daughtry song there'd be a riot or something.

besides, slash is the face of that other "real guitar" game that's not RB or RS and is supposedly coming out soon, so i doubt we'll be seeing any slash on RS for a while.

You could see that happening with Rock Band hints as it's happened before (NGGYU). But yeah, seeing as Rocksmith doesn't do this mega hype leading to modern rock band/internet sensation hints the most likely artists from this hint are:
    Jimi Hendrix
    Black Sabbath
    Ozzy Osbourne (Randy Rhoads era)
    Kiss
    Wishlist (possible artists):
    [4] The Killers
    [1] The Cure
    [7] AFI
    [3] Sum 41
    [11] Linkin Park
    [51] Green Day
    [9] The Offspring

I got it for Christmas for use with my bass. Thank you Amazon for being able to get it for $50 as opposed to the normal $80.

I love it. Load times are my only gripe. Otherwise I've been playing about 20-30 minutes a day. I was already learning how to play bass and was able to play a few songs, and this seems to be helping faster at least with muscle memory and things like that.
    1200+ songs!

Day 4... I stopped playing the game and have been working on getting my fingers limbered up and working good enough to play the game... being as old as I am, my fingers wouldn't spread enough to play the game properly... but, after working on my fingers I can now put my index finger on the third fret and stretch my middle finger to the fifth fret and still get my ring and little finger to the sixthed and seventh frets. Finger tips are still too soft to play, but I am getting there.

I might actually try playing the game later tonight.
Pushing 50 and still rockin' like a teen, only now I can afford it and it takes longer to recover.

Glad to hear you're truckin' along with RS. Your finger range is way higher than mine! I can do 4-8 slowly (learning Blackbird on my own time). The fastest way to hard fingertips is more playing.

I don't know how much age has to do with finger stretching ability. Google "guitar finger stretching" to reveal many tortuous exercises .

Hmm, that is a long stretch. I don't think you'll need to stretch from the third to the seventh fret though. I'm curious about your age being an issue as I'm pushing 50.

Arthritic hands get stiff and twisted. But, it sounds like I have more range than I thought I had. And, maybe the twisting of my ring finger will help me in the long run with chords

In rock band pro, one of the hardest earliest stretches is 1-3-3-3,
or worse, the 1-3-3-3-1 chord. I haven't seen this in rocksmith yet.

For calluses, I recommend trying out the tips of your fingertips with rubbing alcohol once or twice a day. It'll dry out the skin and help build up calluses. It worked for me, taking about two weeks total if I remember right.
