Good, now you know how people felt when they made the coins pointless.
Lol. I love how you completly avoid how I showed you were using guesses to imply that they were fact and that I brought Facts in the equation to prove my point. Instead of addressing that point you quote me out of context to try and show I was contradicting myself. But alas I was not.
Like I said before let's not start calling guesses logic. Lets stick to facts when it comes to logic.
That statement you made is a pure speculation. A guess. You have no facts to back that up. But at no point did you try and say it was a guess. Instead you tried to shoot down the only data we possess by using this guess as your reason.
Both "Guesses" I made I specifically stated were simply guesses. At no point did I represent them as fact in my point. There is a huge difference between guessing and telling people it is a guess than disputing facts by trying to pass a guess off as a fact.
Let's look at both our original points and see the difference:
So to answer your original question AJay I do not want the smallest sample. The smallest sample are the only facts I have to go on. Nowhere else have I seen any numbers that support or against anything. We cann't make assumptions and turn them in to facts. We can guess why things happen but in the end they are only guesses.
Right now the numbers we have say this was an unpopular decision. Only time will tell if it was. Because after the tournaments if Flame notes are changed again then we all will now it was.
Yeah. See the Gallup poll also predicted a Romney win.
Using them as a counter argument over the accuracy of a small sample size doesn't help you.
The numbers you have are from a echo chamber filled with mainly five people repeatedly posting overly verbose versions of 'This!'. Selection bias, small sample size, and proof by verbosity. These are not helping your cause.
Once again I am completely taken out of context. People should read entire posts. the "Guess" I was referring to had to do with why Harmonix decided to nerf Flame notes. And I cleary made it known as a guess.
The second point you brought up is the factual numbers I have been referring to this entire time. I repeat THAT IS NOT A GUESS. Like I said we have seen NO evidence that suggests the data in this thread is WRONG. The numbers we have to go by in the thread are the ONLY numbers we have. There are no numbers we can just pluck out of the sky and pretend them to be fact.
So to review my point for the third time. AJay posted assumptions and guesses and acted as if they are factual.
The numbers are overwhelmingly against the Flame note nerf in this thread. This is a fact that cannot be disputed. If some disagree with the majority's opinion in this thread go find some people to post who agree with it. But for now all we have is the opinions of the 70 people on this thread.
Last time I checked the Gallup poll is the industry standard in polling. But some quick research will show you that all polling uses very small sample sizes to conduct large polls.
And no my numbers reflect the entire 40 pages of this thread that i have followed from the beginning. No matter if a person posted once or 30 times if they are against the nerf they are against it. If you have some actual facts to dispute what i say by all means let's see them.
Otherwise I will have to disagree with you on your quote that the facts "are not helping" my cause. But like I continue to say we will see who was right in March. When the tournaments are over let's see if Flame notes stay nerfed.
Your fact is still five people repeatedly posting the same thing. This is not a huge throng of outrage. This is a smattering of people telling the creators of the game that they are stupid and wrong. So good luck with that bit.
The thing about polling data, since it is such a small sample size, you actually have to ask as wide a selection as possible. Not a closed group of similarly minded people. Any basic statistical analysis class would tell you this.
Your fact is that this thread is populated by people who don't like it. With a majority of the posts being the same thing from an even smaller group of people.
This is not proof of anything other than this thread is populated by people who don't like it and say the same things over and over again.
And again, the last time you checked, the industry standard in polling was wrong. That means their methods and analysis was wrong. Just because everybody wants to believe them, it doesn't make them right.
