Miley Cyrus doesn't quite have the same audience as Lady Gaga or Carly Rae Jepsen. Aerosmith would easily outsell any of Miley's songs. Except maybe Party in the U.S.A.
[] Dizzy Mizz Lizzy [] Dover [] Guano Apes [] More Miley Cyrus
[] The Rasmus [] The Veronicas [] More Volbeat

Put another way -- is there any song by any artist that you think could even possibly outsell CRJ? Sure seems like you're arguing against the mere possibility.
"Old" music beat the new stuff in 2009 because that is when Rock Band was its strongest. When the most people like us played and bought DLC. That is not the case now as stated multiple times by Harmonix employees.

Im sure there is a song that could outsell CRJ but I dont know it because I know close to nothing about any recent or semi recent music which would be the kind of music that would sell that well. I do not see Aerosmith, with the community as it is, selling as well as everyone thinks they are going to.

Aren't these younger generation people you mention the ones who use facebook, though. Their reaction to the Aerosmith DLC seems to be positive. Very positive.

It would be interesting to see how well that one would sell. I would have to imagine the majority of CRJ's sales came from people wanting to sing the song (sure, a few of the kids will play it on Medium Bass, too, but the vocals are what most people were interested in. I'm sure of it). Would a non-English song do as well?

The people that post on the Rock Band facebook are angrier less understanding versions of us forum people.

Not sure how that can be, when it's not CRJ

Actually.....maybe I'll just stop at "Not sure how that can be." They're actually positive about something for once?!?

And yet, even they are very happy about Aerosmith DLC. (Virtually unanimously positive, the only slightly not positive comments is someone asking for Avenged Sevenfold and someone saying there were other Aerosmith songs they wanted, the last one indicates a popularity of Aerosmith)

Because they want what we want. The people that post their opinions here, Facebook and twitter are the minority of people that buy DLC. Which, again, is why CRJ sold so well when the overall response on those places was extremely negative.

You sure? Most people here were ****ting themselves with glee when that song came out. I was one of the relatively few humbugs.
