In all seriousness, I can dig this. The Captain Kidd and naval missions were by far the best part of AC3, so having a game more or less built around those is cool. And any new main character is bound to be more interesting than Connor. So there's some hope. Now let's hope the game will be mostly based around actual assassination missions again as well, instead of around Forrest Gumping.

I thought the naval missions were absolute garbage. They are the only side missions I didnt do after having to suffer through the story mission ones. I really hope either they made the naval missions not suck for AC4 or its not a focus like I think it will be.

Sink or swim for AC4. I was really disappointed overall with AC3, so I'm glad they ditched Connor. I would have even accepted a spin-off game focusing on Achilles's years as an Assassin.

Well, two things just showed up today about ACIV.

A video giving some insight on why Ubisoft decided to do pirates and an official preview (probably from the upcoming GameInformer issue) about it.

They claim the naval battles are much better and less linear in this game. They also suggest that much of the world is open and fully explorable at will with over 50 locations to check out. I immediately though of a current-gen Windwaker.

Linearity was not my problem with the naval stuff -_-

Been playing the hell out of Origin's refresh button in anticipation of downloading SimCity. If this was on Steam I would be playing by now.

I know there's not a huge market for this on consoles but I wish they'd port it.

I suspect I'm only about 3/4 finished, but the new Tomb Raider is surprisingly enjoyable.
I forced my way through most of the first two in the series back when my friend got a PS1, but haven't paid attention to the series since then.
I'm digging the focus on action rather than lame puzzles. Also nice to see a decent console port with pretty slick graphics (speaking of which, that new Crysis wasn't bad and I'm not a big fan of that series either).

What little I've been able to play of SimCity is cool (aside from bad AI for special vehicles), but I'm not waiting in a damn queue to play.
