Amen. Bow kills are oh-so satisfying, particularly the ones form behind.
I dislike the moments when it takes away control, I mean Uncharted does that to, to an extent, but with Uncharted they do such a good job in convincing you that you do have control even when you don't and then there are the 'forcing you to walk' moments which I assume are to mask loading times cause unless someone or something finally decides to jump me in dark they serve no purpose
and have become a drag, again I clearly remember Uncharted doing them as well, but it never bothered me there.
TR's rock climbing is better than Uncharted's, especially fun if you go out of your way and use the axe more than really required as supposed to just moving the analog stick after the initial hook.
Gunplay is meh, opening crates appeals to the hoarder in me, but is becoming tedious.
Both characters and voice acting are all over the place. I have yet to feel a strong bond with Lara. Her voice acting is only marginally better than the rest and perhaps that's why it stands out. Idk Its coming off contrived does not feel natural.
The island I really like, I'm enjoying the books (sound logs)
Edit:
Oh and I still long for the day when a AAA game manages to accomplish Braid or better yet Fez quality puzzles.

just got the trophy for killing 18 grizzly bears in Red Dead Redemption. Damn those things are dangerous, lol!
Lawdog1521: We just need more discipline. Henry should hire a dominatrix for WAYDRN. Stou anyone?
Bought Scott Pilgrim vs. the World last night. It's fun, and the music's great, but the lack of a checkpoint system makes things tricky.

Amazing game with incredible attention to detail. Gameplay is almost identical to Uncharted, but even better as you have more options when it comes to weapons and such. A lot of parkouring, a lot of puzzle solving, decently challenging fire fights... a must play especially if you enjoyed the Uncharted games.

Well the latter half of TR f****** blows.
I 100% the game, but actively stopped myself form killing all the buffalos for the 'Manifest Destiny' trophy this was after my trophy whore days, but still.
Looking forward to playing it again this summer, this time on 360 which I've been told insistently is the superior version.
I found TR to be pretty easy compared to Uncharted, it only starts to get difficult at the very end, but that was partly my own fault for using the shotgun when I should have been using the rifle. Nothing is nowhere near as difficult as the desert battle in Uncharted 3, not even close. What turned out to be the main boss fight was pretty lame... dodge dodge dodge, shoot... dodge dodge dodge, shoot... that's pretty much it. The very end turns out to be a button mashing exercise which was very unsatisfying to end the game on.
100%-ing the game was the most frustrating thing as many of the collectibles are very hard to find (especially the GPS Caches since they're so small and hard to spot) and it's a mini puzzle trying to get to each one. Couldn't find the final sun poster for the Sun Killer challenge in Cliffside Bunker at all, so I had to look that one up and it's so high up you'd never think to look there, no wonder I couldn't find it.![]()
