OK, pick five albums you would like to see...

After reading today's announcement (and the praises and grumbling that followed it), I would like to see what everybody's top 5 albums choices would be.

Try to be realistic about your choices. We would all like to Led Zeppelin and The Beatles, but chances are it won't happen. Anything with excessive language should be eliminated (I believe this takes Appetite for Destruction out of the running, sorry) and EVERY song on the album must have guitar, bass, vocal and drum parts.

I'll start. My 5 (in no particular order):

    Radiohead - The Bends
    The Clash - London Calling
    Weezer - Weezer (blue album)
The New Pornographers - Electric Version
    U2 - The Joshua Tree

Metallica - Kill 'Em All (only song that wouldn't work is the Bass Solo)
Foo Fighters - The Color and the Shape
    Iron Maiden - Power Slave
    Pantera - Cowboys from Hell
The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin

    1. City of Evil - Avenged Sevenfold
This is my favorite album of all time. Waking the Fallen my be more "metal," but City of Evil is much more interesting and technical. Despite the band's demeanor, they write some great music. This would keep expert players at bay for quite a long time.
    2. Master of Puppets - Metallica
My favorite Metallica album of all time, what's more to say here?
    3. Toxicity - System of a Down
I admit there are songs on Hypnotize/Mesmerize that I'd rather see on Rock Band more than any Toxicity song (B.Y.O.B., Dreaming, Revenga, Soldier Side, Violent Pornography), but as a whole I like Toxicity much better than the other albums. I also have to admit I've wanted to sing Chop Suey! since I got into System.
    4. You Could Have It So Much Better - Franz Ferdinand
Came across this album the other day and I absolutely love it. Not a weak track in the mix, IMO.
    5. Avenged Sevenfold - Avenged Sevenfold
Even though this is the most "mainstream" A7X album, it's still got some great songs. A Little Piece of Heaven would be a blast to sing (though completely inappropriate around 99% of human beings).

Honorable mentions go to Voices by Matchbook Romance and Best of Guns N' Roses album.

Hmmm.....that no cussing rule pares out a few I'd love, like Pearl Jam's "Ten", for example.

    All masters, please.

Porcupine Tree - "In Absentia" (but possibly too obscure for DLC)
    Rush - "2112"
    U2 - "The Joshua Tree"
Van Halen - Van Halen (1st album)
Yes - "Close to the Edge" (lol, maybe too obscure again for general public, but it'd be a helluva band workout!)

The Soft Bulletin is an interesting choice! I would have put OK Computer on there, but I think "Fitter, Happier" is going to mess that up.
