Exclamation DLC! Angers Me!

Hi,
The DLC is BS because (i live in Aus) and i got the Eur game (because Aus dlc works with it) and its $2.45 for one song. Now with our dollar strong at (roughly) 90 cents it should only be $2. 20 - $2. 30 tops.
Now having said that the DLC for USA is $1.99 which it shouldn't be because yes it is a fair price for the console versions as they have Multiplayer.
But as we do not and they didn't fulfill the name "Rock Band" why should it be $1.99 (USA DLC) when we do not have multiplayer to play with our friends, that it is what is making me buy only 1 song every 2 or 3 weeks , but instead i would be buying alot more songs as it should be at $1.99 (Aus DLC) for a song as we do not have as much "Modes" to play them in (*Cough* Multiplayer *Cough*). Probably $1.00 - $1.50 for USA DLC i think.

Does anyone agree or disagree? let me know abou your opinions.

I agree with your opinion that DLC should be $1.00-$1.50 since Rock Band Unplugged isn't as "full" (missing modes like Multiplayer and Training) as Rock Band 2. Heck, Rock Band Unplugged should've been called One-Man Rock Band Unplugged (sounds weird :P).

I've posted elsewhere a few reasons why $2.00 is justifiable.

People pay $1 per song on iTunes or other such places and it's the same every time yet nobody complains. There are several options for playing the song on RBU so you can get even more enjoyment out of it. This game plays differently than the console versions so comparing them is just silly.

But im tipping (educated guess) that it is cheaper to make a Rock Band Unplugged song than to make a console song as there are no plastic guitars to port it to if you get what i mean while with this game you "should" have to do alot less to get it to a "playable level" so to speak.

I agree, it's irked me that portable DLC is still "full" price despite RBU having no multiplayer or leaderboards and whatnot. I live in eastern Canada and after taxes each track is $2.25 (as of right now, 1 AUS dollar is about 98.6 cents Canadian). All I can say is the same as I do: don't buy as many tracks as a sort of protest. I'd probably own all 53 tracks if they were only $1 or $1.50, but at $2.25 I only buy the absolute best.

Are you saying that the costs of hardware should dictate the cost of software? The plastic guitar/drums you play are just a glorified controller, the way the PSP is.

In terms of development, these charts still consist of four different note tracks (drums/vocals/bass/guitar), as well as all the tracks required of the different instruments, as well as camera/lighting effects. They likely put in just as much development time into the tracks here as they do in the actual game.
