    I'm trying to work on a setlist, but there are some holes in it. I know I'm going to regret this later, but can someone recommend me 10-20 bands/songs for the following:

    1. Nu-Metal (Please no Slipknot, Korn, Linkin Park, or Mudvayne)
    2. Symphonic Metal
    3. Gothic Metal
    Not removing this until Oscar-rio gets a sex-change!!

    Looking for any recommendations, like trippy lyrics and a good singer.
    I'm recommending Torche - Meanderthal to all stoner rock/metal fans for the past little while... it's my favorite release of the stoner variety for 2008. Great album!

    They're not exactly the same or anything, but Man Man have bizarre/traditional instrumentation and a fun feel, kind of like Gogol Bordello. Check out Man Man - Rabbit Habits.

    as per instantdeath's request, i've tried to make some good leeway on my RB3 setlist... none of the above subgenres will likely make it because i'm not particularly a fan of any of it, but it will still be a very diverse setlist.

    Nothing really special but let me check my list;

    Proud Like A God (Guano Apes)
    Chamber Music (Coal Chamber)
    Full Devil Jacket (Full Devil Jacket)

    Forgot the Exilia one, since I don't have it anymore.

    Oh yeah this one just came to mind;

    Spineshank's The Height of Callousness.

    EDIT: I also remember SOiL being one of the bands in the nu-metal subculture that people liked (and by people I mean openminded metalheads).

    I'll definitely agree. Meanderthal was among my favorite albums of '08!

    Also, I don't know whether or not you've checked them out, but if you haven't, definitely Kyuss. I've been binging them lately, haha.

    Agreed. Kyuss is a must for any stoner rock fan.

    I actually think their self-titled debut is nu-metal-ier (more numetally? you know what I mean). Good rec, though... I used to play in a nu metal band back when these guys first appeared and we used to love that album
