Rundown of Wilco's albums for you:

    A.M. - pretty straightforward alt-country
Being There - alt-country mixed with alternative
Summerteeth - poppy rock with a hint of their old sound
Yankee Hotel Masterpiece - this is usually considered their masterpiece. It's basically the sound from Summerteeth combined with a good deal of experimentation.
A Ghost Is Born - there isn't anything remarkable about this album, to be honest, it's basically a typical Wilco album with a marginal amount of experimentation.
Sky Blue Sky - has a "dadrock" air to it. Nice guitar work though.
Wilco (The Album) - this sounds like a mashup of every Wilco album yet, minus A.M.

As a starting point, I'd personally recommend Summerteeth and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Those two along with Being There are my favorites.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

Dude, this is "out there"? This **** is really good!
If you like the more recent Radiohead stuff, you may want to check out Marillion's "Happiness Is The Road"... not quite as good, but a passable enough substitute.

Just a sample of a few of the songs on the album. The whole thing's pretty out there though. Not like there isn't weirder music, but still.

Any Hardcore Punk recs? I really dig Cro-Mags and Sick of it All, if that's any help.

What hardcore do you have already? Do you have the basics, like Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, and the like?

I'm not an expert on hardcore (post-hardcore is more my thing) but I'm sure I could throw a few recommendations your way.

I have Minor Threat as well, don't have any DK, Bad Brains or Black Flag, I'm pretty sure on where to start with DK, but not Black Flag and Bad Brains.
