    Oh, in that case, then yeah, Ultra should probably be your next album from Depeche Mode.

    I haven't really listened to much past Ultra, so I couldn't give an informed opinion on their more recent albums.

    all of Cyndi's 80s and early 90s stuff is fantastic

    For rock-influenced DM, I suggest looking into Playing the Angel and Sounds of the Universe. The band tends to advance into more traditional "rock" territory as they age.
