I need a crash course in metal, I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of it

things I like and need more of: Black Metal, Doom, Sludge

things I've avoided but am willing to try: Speed Metal

I haven't listened to anything "purely metal" aside from Iron Maiden or Electric Wizard for a long time (lot's of the somewhat metal I listen too have a lot more crust or hardcore influence)

also any other metal that you think I should listen too would be awesome as well

I've bought Pork Soda and Frizzle Fry, and have Sailing, Tales and Brown on my computer, am I missing any crucial albums or did they start to dip after that?
