I have a feeling I know the answer to this question, but is DMB worth checking out? My parents own their full discography, and I was raised on Dave, so I like most of his singles and a lot of it I know by heart.

I'm indifferent leaning ever-so-slightly positively on Dave Matthews Band. It can be pretty fun to just chill out to. So yeah, it can't hurt you to listen to some of it.

I would say no because DMB is one of just a few bands that I can't stand to listen to, but I do know quite a few people that love them so it probably wouldn't hurt to give them a shot.

I didn't overlook them, I actually like them a lot, I just didn't want to reccomend too many albums at once. Turn Loose the Swans is very high on my list of favorite doom albums, just not as high as the others I listed.

I LOVE Katatonia. And Anathema, My Dying Bride, Cathedral, Paradise Lost, Evoken, Skepticism, and some others, so you guys aren't alone!!!

Strangely enough, I just checked, Katatonia is my second most played band on last.fm (tied with Yes) behind Onslaught. Burzum is third.
