What Stasis said isn't wrong, just throw out the alt rock element in his definition and it wouldn't be far off. There's lot's of trip-hop out there and some lean to doing more jazz-pop and other more hip-hop and then there's those that focus on the soundscapes over the hip-hop or jazz-esque base of the sound.

If you listen carefully you should be able to hear the root sound and similarities.

Damn, there's so many of you it gets confusing

Any hardcore/metalcore bands that can touch Converge when it comes to sheer intensity? (aside from Trap Them)

The whole math rock-inspired indie rock sound is just so infectious, I'm almost convinced PEE does it better than Heavy Vegetable.

    Ok, couple questions/recommendations...:
Anyone here heard Factrix? Is it worth buying? Having a hard time to find anything by them but as they are an old Industrial Records band from 70's i'm interested.

Good starting points for 23 Skidoo and Esplendor Geometrico, if anyone here knows them?

    Thanks
