good thread, for spoken word I'd recomend henry rollins, almost comedy but more...intellectual and pissed off I guess.

I'm a fan of classic rock, stoner rock and metal (can't stand growlers/screamers)

I just heard a band yesterday that's female led, not sure if I would say they are punk, they compare themself to radiohead meets flyleaf. Which isn't a bad comparison, just wish they had a bit more of a radiohead vibe. The band is Vertigo and they are from morristown tn (like 15 minutes away from me).
