Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

What bands do I need to check out?

I want to find new bands, and I want to know what I'm missing out on. Old or Modern.

A band that is not in Rock Band would be great, as I know most of those already! (unless of course, the songs in the game don't show what the band has to offer (ex. Dinosaur Jr.)

That's a tough one. Their new album Popular Songs is really awesome and would be a great introduction to the band, so I say that one. You should look into their albums I Can Hear the Heart Beating As One, May I Sing With Me, and I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass eventually also.
