I heard Interpol sounds a lot like Joy Division. If I like Joy Division does this mean I'll like Interpol?
I much prefer Joy Division, but Turn On The Bright Lights, as OCB recommended, is a very good album.
I've always thought that Interpol's singer owes more to Michael Stipe than Ian Curtis, but that could just be the R.E.M. fanboy in me surfacing.
Now, a recommendation: I'm feeling that my twee collection is lacking. I recently relistened to the C86 compilation and enjoyed it. I already have George Best by The Wedding Present, and love that to. Where should I go next?

I think you'd be fine on Interpol, Bub, if you get the first two albums.

Are the Romantics worth looking into?

"Bat Out of Hell", "Hocus Pocus", and "You Get What You Give" for RB3!
i think they're a pretty solid band... i don't listen to them much, but i can't think of a song of theirs i dislike.
nor tullycraft, who were my official introduction to the term "twee". they occasionally wandered into surf rock territory as well, which is a big plus.

I listened to a few tracks by Interpol and my god they sounds like a modern age Joy Division I mean exactly like them. The singer's voice is spot on.
