    I know that, I have no problem with calling Possessed, Master, and Death death metal. I'm taking an objective approach though. Although I guess the point when "heavy thrash metal" becomes "death metal" can be somewhat subjective.

    I think the main difference between early DM and Thrash is really the vocals, DM took it to another level, and then developed a more distinct instrumentation later on.

    the best album is "only a lad", which for some reason only shows as a single on last.fm.
