    Yeah, Painful is another god-tier effort. Though I still think Popular Songs is their best.

    i think their best song is the first track off of "I am not afraid of you..." but then the rest of that album unfortunately drops off from that somewhat.

    So I consider myself well versed in metal subgenres with the exception of Doom. The probably is everything I hear of it rubs me the wrong way with low production values, heavy nihilism, and slowness that makes the arrangement boring. Is there any recommendations not like this or would that no longer even be the genre? Of all the doom bands I do like The Sword but I know they're not exactly the best example of it either. Thanks.

    If I were to lay down money on a QotSA album, should I spend it on the Over the Years and Through the Woods live album and DVD, or wait around for the re-release of the self-titled?
