I like a cleaner, more technical sound, so any Death/Black Metal you can recommend me would be great.

EDIT: Oh, yeah. I also got into Atheist.
look into gorguts, lykathea aflame, the first few cryptopsy albums, spawn of possession, and arsis.

as for behemoth, i consider them pretty dull but they're not really a bad band so a newcomer to death and black metal may dig 'em.

in regards to cleaner and more technical black metal that's pretty much the opposite of how i tend to like mine, but i imagine you'd probably be into stuff like emperor, enslaved, deathspell omega, negura bunget, etc.

Can you help me out with anything you can think of that is similar to CANOBLISS? If not don't worry about it.

to be honest, i don't really know much about that style of music, but one of my best friends from high school plays in a band that canobliss instantly reminded me of called 5 live martyrs...
they're still struggling to get a good recording, but you can hear some semi-rough recordings here.

sorry i can't be of more help with this one.

Also, try one of Kenny Wayne Shepherd's earlier albums like Ledbetter Heights or Trouble Is. If you like Stevie, KWS should be right up your alley.

Also, Bonnie Raitt, BB King, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan. If you like the long jamming out solos, check out G3 featuring Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and insert random other awesome guitarist. Speaking of which, check out Eric Johnson

This post is aimed in particular at afterstatis but I'll take recc's from anyone. I'm looking for shoegaze influenced black metal, stuff similar to Alcest but with abit more emphasis on the black metal.
