I went with Bollocks, but I'd also like to see The Shape of Punk to Come by The Refused, Jim Carroll's Catholic Boy, and Discharge's Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing.
Visit The Lair Of The Dreaded Atrox. No harm will come to you.

IS it even possible to get any tracks from any of these punk bands? (other than the bands we already have tracks from.)

I mean obviously they're way too punk to "sell out," and give us their music.

Maybe that's why RB is lacking in the punk genre. They're just too hardcore.

I don't know, the Sex Pistols, The Clash and The Ramones (though only one of them is still alive, to be fair) have embraced music games. We've also seen Rancid, The Dead Kennedys, Rise Against, The Buzz****s, The Stooges and the MC5. If you're a punk artist that thinks music games are "selling out," you've just condemned a lot of your heroes and peers.

    I was joking lol.

I know a lady who used to be in a punk band and is now very post rock and working on a new record, i told her "hey give some of your tracks to HMX for DLC" and she said "no because then I'd be a sellout."

I've never heard of MC5? Though I'm reminded of GC5, a nice punk band with some great songs.

I like punk but don't know many punk bands. Never really got into the Sex Pistols.

I love The Distillers. (anxious about Spinnerette but trying not to get my hopes up)
Though I found out about Rancid seperately from the Distillers, it seems the two sort of come hand-in-hand, I'm guessing because not only are they both great punk bands but because Brody (Distillers) and Tim (Rancid) were married, I think, at one point.

Some of my favorite songs are from these two bands.

I remain hopeful for DLC from both bands because Rancid has already had a song featured in GH2, and Brody is now married to Josh Homme, who is from QotSA, who has songs in RB, and she also seems to be friends with several artists who have songs featured in RB.

I also like Bad Brains, the Clash (or course,) and right now I'm obsessed with Gogol Bordello.

To all of those who voted for London Calling, several of us at The London Calling thread are mailing copies of London Calling to Harmonix in an attempt to get the album in the game as DLC.

We're basically asking them to give them away as prizes to employees that don't have a copy of their own. We also respectfully request the album as the ultimate DLC that could possibly be in the game.

If anyone wants to join us, just click the above link and read through the last few pages of the thread for info. With any luck, we'll be playing London Calling by this time next year.

MC5 is a proto-punk band. Really great too.

You have probably heard Kick Out the Jams at some point. It was covered by The Presidents of the United States of America and Blue Oyster Cult, among others.

How many albums did the MC5 do? Where would you start?
