where are events in Houston,TX

Hey you 2 well many of us have had multiple attempts at getting something started in H-town under the "Austin" thread but unfortunately came out with nothing. My friends and I play Rock Band a few times a week at each others homes and if enough people are interested we can all pull our resources to beg some bar to have a RB night like once a month or something.




Come to think of it I might know a place but it's like a coffee/tapioca place in South Houston I could ask them but Houston's BIG so commute would be killer for people up in the woodlands ect.

So everyone I am going to take the initiative here and get everyones input.

What day/time would be good for you guys that come read up on the forums?

Do we want it once a week? once a month? every other month?

Where would you like to have it? (Bar, Someone's House, Coffee Shop, Tapioca Shop)

Since H-Town is a very large city I felt the need to add driving time. How far is everyone willing to drive? Should we only look for venues that are say in the central part of Houston? So that the majority of everyones commute is about the same?

If anyone has some sort of connections please clue us in.
