Picked up an Ion kit today. Hooked it all up and things were going fine except the red pad was REALLY unresponsive. So I tried different cables. No change. Just tried using a different pad. No change. I'm pretty damn sure it's the brain just having some sort of short or not being sensitive enough. I have to REALLY whack the red pad to get a decent response. It also seems to get worse the longer I play. When I start it seems to work alright, but as I play for more than an hour or so, it's unplayable.

I am pretty sure it's a defective brain. My question now is - who should I contact and how long should I expect for this to get remedied?

Ion would probably prefer you contact them for defects, but if you got it locally, it'd probably be faster for you to exchange it for another one.

I just got my ION drums and they won't turn on. The guide button doesn't light up when I connect it to the 360.

Is there some special trick to getting them to turn on I don't know about?

    Go to http://rockbandparts.com/?product=me...p-simmons-yoki

Highly recommend these inexpensive mesh heads for the Drum Rocker. Definitely makes a difference...less noisy, more rebound and increased sensitivity...plus they look much cooler than the rubber pads. I upgraded a few weeks ago.
