true, which is partially why i've never done polls. i have trouble remembering i'm supposed to appeal to a majority.

surely mogwai's "mogwai fear satan" or "xmas steps" would win a handful of votes, though.
also, haven't do make say think become extremely popular now that broken social scene are huge, also?

    I'll vote twice!

Seriously, for me, it'll be either post-rock or surf. I'm not a fan of all the metal wankers.
Does anyone chart anymore? le sigh.

I used to be big into shredding, but now I'm into post-rock. I still enjoy some of that stuff, but some guitarists need to learn that playing guitar is not some sort of race or competition.

I'd like to get this going this weekend.

I'll wait until the poll closes first, but it's looking like we should make this multiple choice for each round.

We'll start with early stuff -- surf, etc. Then I think I can see sort of a classic rock (up to early 70's) battle and a blues rock battle. I think I can handle those, but input is of course always welcome.

Then I've got Schiz, Axl and Shredder on board I think to run a batttle. Schiz -- I think you can cover prog and related. Shredder -- can you handle metal? Axl has an off beat battle in mind. Maybe if you guys can pm me what you think you'd like to have in your battles by say, Sunday, I can cross check and see what things look like. Each battle would be limited to ten tracks.

After we get that list of battles together, then I'll let Polish Dog know what we've got and if there's enough left over that he thinks is worth a battle, then I'm cool with that. Maybe it's post-rock -- not sure what that is, but I'll defer to PD.

Looks like we'll have room for the winners of each round plus maybe a couple of also ran high voted getters in the final.

    Thanks all

I can handle it, but just expect my involvement to be a little more limited that Shiz and Axl. I just got bumped up to a different site where I do graveyard, which means I sleep all day.
