Question Wireless drums won't sync to XBOX360.

Just got the stand alone wireless drum set yesterday for B-day. Assembled it today, turned it on and hit the sync button on bottom front to synch to my XBOX. Controller didn't do the same circling lights as the XBOX does. Just continued to blink. Am I missing a step here?

Default 3rd time's a charm

I had the same problem on Christmas morning. The "Santa delivered" version of Rock Band 2 Special Edition didn't work (wireless drum kit would not sync with my new xbox 360). All the other wireless devices worked fine. I tried all the different power/sync button sequences, but nothing worked. Everything was returned to Best Buy the following morning and exchanged for a new box.

Guess what? The second box did the exact same thing. The wireless drum kit would not sync. I even tried it on a friend's xbox 360 system with the same results. Ugh! I'm guessing the assembly line workers fell asleep while this lot was rolling down the conveyor belt. So, another return/exchange visit to Best Buy.

The 3rd one was unceremoniously unboxed at home and (with great relief) it worked as expected. Needless to say, I will be keeping the box around for a few months during a vigorous break-in period for the drums.

Merry Christmas!

Talking Returned faulty drumset to Wal Mart

Just like the other hundreds of y'all we purchased the XBox 360 and the Rock Band 2 and the drumset wouldn't sync. I called Wal Mart and they told us to bring it back and they replaced it. We didn't have the receipt and that wasn't a problem. Hopefully y'all can be as lucky!! My kids are having a blast now that they can both have an instrument to play. Good Luck!!!

OK. after about an hour of fooling around with it i think i've figured it out. you have to hold the sync button on both the drums and the xbox at the same time. thats what worked for me.

Make sure your xbox is seeking a new controller to connect to!

1) Power on your controller by pressing the drum icon button so the 4 LED's flash.
2) Hit the small circular button (found beneath the disc tray on your 360) so that the LED's around the power button start "circling". While this is happening...
3) Hit the "sync" button on your drum controller, which is found underneath the front edge of the controller.

If you don't set the 360 to seek new controllers (in step two above) or if you have too many other controllers connected (360 controllers etc), your drums won't connect.

Hope that helps!

What would be too many controllers?
I only have 2 regular controllers and the wireless guitar sync'ed up. I have tried all forms of syncing per forums here and around the net and they just won't sync up. The guitar had no problem.

I only meant that you can only have 4 controllers connected at a time (so if you had 3 xbox360 controllers connected from a previous game and tried to connect 2 more controllers, you wouldn't have available ports.

Did your guitar sync automatically when you turned it on? Or did you have to hit the button on your 360 console that seeks new controllers?

If you hit the sync button on the 360 and the SYNC button (not the xbox logo button) on the drums, they should link up...

Sorry if I'm just repeating things you've tried!

No, I had to sync the guitar using both the console and git sync buttons. Drums just aren't responding to the process after 3 days of trying. Thanks for the response anyways.
