Is it sad that the only thing I've heard all the way through is Metropolis Pt. II?

Favorite disc is 6DOIT disc 2. Favorite album is SFAM. 6DOIT gets my vote though.

I really dig the song "Pull me Under" so I voted for Images and Words...

something not listed that I also like, was the Master of Puppets bootleg. Got that on the iPod and that whole "cover album"...if you wanna call it that, is in my top rated playlist.

Dream Theater is awesome either way.

I liked the instrumentation on that Bootleg, but James' voice just kills it for me. He just wasn't born to sing Thrash Metal.
Please. Call me Jacob. Wiiman feels so...odd.

You know I felt some sour parts during Orion, but that's my favorite 'Tallica song...so I don't think my beef is valid.

I actually thought that most of the vocals reminded me of a young Dave Mustaine...not saying they sound the same, but the voice pitch reminded me of like the chorus of Symphony of Destruction.

    Ughhh.

    Difficult.

    Falling Into Infinity
    Scenes From A Memory
    (A Change of Seasons)
    Octavarium
    Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
    Train of Thought
    Images & Words
    Awake
    When Dream & Day Unite
    Black Clouds & Silver Linings
    Systematic Chaos

    I love them all, though.

Apart from SC which doesn't get listened to that often

Systematic Chaos, all the way. And yes, HMX should get an album of DT on RB, seriously.

I think the reason they haven't prior to now is because so much of their music does hinge on the keyboard... now that it's playable...

    Regardless, my rankings:

    Metropolis Pt. 2
    Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
    Awake
    Black Clouds & Silver Linings
    (A Change of Seasons)
    Images & Words
    Octavarium
    Falling Into Infinity
    Systematic Chaos
    When Dream & Day Unite
    Train of Thought

Then again, sad but true fact: none of those albums would rank in the top five of Portnoy's discography.
