Great Tip! I'm sure the rest of the OMB people will use this. And, congrats on Visions. I should try that on vocals and use Hamster's barking trick. I could use more Gold Stars.

Jamming with Sue Bee last night was fantastic-- there's nothing like jamming in a band non-virtually. I suppose it was similar to Zarlor and Bazoozoo's jam session, except we weren't 2 divas fighting for the mic.

However, I did get a chance to play with my band. One of my band members, Partie, is excellent on drums. She wanted to play drums and I decided to accommodate and play other instruments. (This was an advice given to me by Bazoozoo to help me improve my RB play, so I thought why not.)

Well, my play on both was just awful-- it would have scared away Zarlor for sure! Singing was better than guitar. On guitar, we were rolling on the floor laughing when I failed out on easy guitar on the first song. I thought it was a calibration issue- then realized after the fail out and just before calibrating that I wasn't strumming (!). Then, I failed out of Kids in America on medium guitar. (John, remember what I said about my guitar playing abilities, I was not joking.) So, for now, I'm sticking to drums.

Z-- How you lived with your connection problems for as long as you did is amazing. I would have tossed the wii out the window a long time ago. I'm glad you didn't. I could use your expert singing!

Mega-- loved playing with you and loved even more your story afterwards. You should share it with the group

Lockheed-- we played several nights ago-- I know I scared you with those songs I was playing (or rather more accurately, trying to play). I promise it's not always like that. I hope to jam with you again. MSN is great for communicating during band play. I hope you can contact me on MSN next time.

Hamster- how was the midnight concert? Missed playing with you last night.

Everyone- have a great sunday. It's cold and raining here. Perfect for staying indoors, playing RB2!

I didn't. That didn't start happening until relatively recently, during most of that time I hadn't been able to play as much anyway (business trip to San Diego, tons of work when I got back home and being too sick to sing effectively anyway, etc...) Besides I wouldn't have thrown out the Wii because the Wii wasn't the problem , it was something in my network... or I thought it was something in Cox's network, but once I had some time and inclination is when I figured out it was really in mine.

Yeah, both you gals live in the Maryland area right? That sound's pretty fun.

Speaking of divas, have you guys voted in the Miss Wii Hawtie 2009 contest yet? Lol..

    Bee- The show was AWESOME!!

We saw a Johnny Cash tribute band by the name of Cash'd Out from San Diego. I am a Johnny Cash fan anyway and they did an amazing job of bringing his music back to life. The crowd was almost as good as the band - love, love, love the Punka-billy crew!! Something about seeing all those Sailor Jerry tattooed arms cuddling tallboy Pabst cans just makes me grin from ear to ear. ha ha! Everyone was tangled up in a knot of jitterbug and swing dancing and I swear at one point the dance floor left the foundation!

So, yeah, I had a blast playing reporter for the night and I ended up with more than enough material to finish my homework (yay!).

Hamster-- Love Johnny Cash-- I thought that Joaquin Phoenix did a great job. Did you love the movie as well? Maybe we should put in a request that RB acquire some Cash

I went to the site to look at some videos. It loads so slowly. They should put it on youtube

Ha ha .. I thought the same thing so I just edited to include the youtube link ... I think that youtube vid I found does not do them justice but was the first one I stumbled on when I searched for them.

The gal they had to play the June Carter part last night was amazing too!

I loved the movie!! It was well done for sure.
(You do know my other band name is Juaqpheen right? ... ha ha! ... OK and that last stunt he pulled had me keeling over in laughter - a rapper?!? ... really?? ... sheesh lol!)

Actually, when I did the Visions FC, it was ALL barking... and a little bit of howling on the long notes Not one single word of English went into that mic!

Honey Bee, sounds like u and Sue Bee had a good time! I'm happy to see you branching out and trying other instruments. I've seen your great progress on drums since we first played, so i'm sure u can do it on the other instruments too.

It does make the overall game experience much more fun when u can switch around. I get together with a group of five friends once every 2 weeks or so to play live and we rotate instruments for every setlist, so everyone ends up playing all instruments. It works out good because someone always gets to have a rest/beer too!
