I want to put a OMB'ers Beatles night together.I'm thinking Thurs. around 8pm EST?
Anyone interested leave your TBRB fc,and instrument if different than the one you normally play.
(Hmmm...Everyone forced to play a different instrument...That might be a beautiful disaster!!)
    Anyway here's mine

Count me in!!!! But I probably won't be able to make it until 9 est. Play mostly guitar/bass but have taken up the drums (med/hard) since I got Beatles so I'll play whatever (even vox if I have to). I'll add you & anyone else that wants to play, my FC is in sig. Need some hired guns for the band achievements as well & will help out in return.

On a side note, if anyone else did the GH5/VH offer, wife called & VH arrived in the mail today!

I'll add you Mega,I'm pretty much the same instrument wise.TB made me dust off the drumsticks too.
You'll have to give me a review of the VH game.I'm a huge fan but between RB2 and TB taking all my time ,it would have to be pretty damn good for me to get it.

I'll play. I haven't had much time to play Beatles. I'll have to post my code later today.
Mega, I got gh5 as a gift, but was just provided all the stuff to send in.
I guess it will take some time for them to send vh .

Got about 15 songs into VH last night, so far its hasn't been as difficult as I though it was going to be. I expect the end songs to be more brutal, on par with "Hot For Teacher" in GH:WT. Graphics/gameplay are very similar to Metallica. There's no Sammy songs & Michael Anthony has been replaced by Wolfgang which I thought was lame but pretty much follows VH's career pattern of spite. There's not much value in the non-VH tracks as many of the more popular songs already appear in other games/dlc but there might be something in particular you like there. Like any of these games, the value comes down to your personal affinity for the set list.

I probably wouldn't have bought GH5 or VH separately but together there was enough value for me to give them a try & I haven't been dissapointed by either but I still have a hard time taking RB2 out of my Wii.

    Second that Arch,god Wolfgang???
No Sammy either...I definitely like the old stuff better but there are quite a few post-Dave tunes that rock."Summer Nights" comes to mind.
Must be nice to crank Mean Streets though!

On TBRB note,I'll add you Clare.Do you want to play Guitar/bass or vocals?(you'll probably kick arse on either)
Adding you too,Arch.I'll have to check you out attacking those funky bass lines some night.

I'll have to let you know on Mean Streets, but I'm looking forward to it. A few things on gameplay, it's got a lot of the hold down a high fret/chord (green/red) whiIe playing the lower (yellow/blue/orange) that GH has been doing since WT. It's different & definately increases the difficulty factor. There's also a LOT of tapping sections for the strum bar. I tried that a little when World Tour came out but I found it difficult/frustrating to keep finger placement. If you don't tap it makes those difficult sections much easier since you don't have to strum and can pretty much just mash your fret buttons all the way through without penalty . I started Cradle Will Rock thinking I needed to save star power to get through the solo but since it was all tapping instead of HO/PO's it was not problem at all. Need to check tonight to see if they're a Music Store for possible dlc *kick self for not checking yesterday*.

I was hoping that some of the unlockable content would be "classic" characters, like 80's style DLR with long hair, spandex & high kicks but it doesn't look like that's the case, they're all current, short hair, cosmetically enhanced versions. However, DLR is sporting a nice pelt of chest hair, so that's consistent.

Seems like there is enough guitar/bass players. So I can vox, but if you need anyone on strings, I am available.
How are we going to communicate? We can’t create “message” characters (or can we?).
